Baseball Recap: Keota Takes a Loss

Keota extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 1-4. They lost 14-2 to the McCurtain Bulldogs. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for McCurtain, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Considering they have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For McCurtain's part, they got a massive performance out of Jackson Blaylock, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Blaylock a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cadyn Culwell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Keota will head out to take on Porum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McCurtain, they will venture away from home to face off against Arkoma at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
