Basketball Recap: Lee's Summit Tigers vs. Belton Pirates
There's no place like home for Lee's Summit, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Belton Pirates out 60-57. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Belton lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cooper Shrum, who posted 16 points and seven boards. Shrum has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jayce Maiden was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.
