Volleyball Recap: Maple Heights Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Maple Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the North Rangers. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in August of 2017.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8, 25-9.

Leading North to victory were Lacey Staska and Ava Mitchell. Staska had 22 assists and five aces, while Mitchell had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces Staska has posted since back in September of 2024. Bella Houston also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Maple Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for North, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Maple Heights has already played their next game (against Cleveland Central Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against South on the 9th.
