Baseball Recap: Lovejoy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Stephenson

Lovejoy hadn't done well against Stephenson recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lovejoy Wildcats were the clear victor by a 22-2 margin over the Stephenson Jaguars. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Finkley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Shaw, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lovejoy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .781. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.
