Volleyball Recap: Shiprock Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kirtland Central, Shiprock was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Aztec Tigers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Chieftains, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

In the three sets Shiprock was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-9, 25-14.

Taleah Phillips paced Shiprock's offense, picking up 18 kills. Phillips got some help from Livy Walter and her 19 assists. Phillips was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Shiprock's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-7. As for Aztec, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
