Football Game Preview: Fairfield Tigers vs. Huffman Vikings + Official Tickets

The Fairfield Tigers will face off against the Huffman Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Fairfield and seven for Huffman.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. Fairfield was outmatched by Oak Grove and fell 61-14.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Justin Murray and Wiley Hicks. Hicks had a great game and rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Meanwhile, Murray was balling out in the loss, rushing for 114 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Huffman played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Oxford 55-6. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 34th).

Huffman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Fairfield against Huffman when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 36-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
