Soccer Recap: Hilton Head Island's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hilton Head Island had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bluffton Bobcats. Given Hilton Head Island's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Bluffton are ranked 116th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piper Baxter and Samanta Garcia scored all three of Hilton Head Island's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Hilton Head Island pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for Bluffton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
