Basketball Recap: Hardee Skates Past Naples Classical with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Hardee over Naples Classical in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Academy out of the water with a 75-26 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 38-point advantage.

Steven Auguste had a dynamite game, shooting 86% from the field on his way to 13 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Victor Rodriguez, who posted eight points along with six assists and four steals.

Hardee was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Hardee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Naples Classical, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Hardee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-42 defeat against Fort Meade on the 4th. Naples Classical has also already played their next contest (against Babcock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
