Soccer Game Preview: Sotomayor vs. Torres

The Sotomayor Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Torres Toros at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sotomayor has given up an average of 4.8 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sotomayor fell victim to Maywood Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Nighthawks. Sotomayor have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Torres scored first but ultimately less than Elizabeth in their match on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

Sotomayor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Torres, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.

Sotomayor skirted past Torres 3-2 in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
