Volleyball Recap: West Has No Trouble Against Eastmoor Academy

It was a classic East v. West duel when West duked it out with Eastmoor Academy on Thursday. West was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Eastmoor Academy.

West never let Eastmoor Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-23.

Maxwell Scott paced West's offense, picking up five kills. Scott got some help from Edwin Perez and his 11 assists. Perez was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

West's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Eastmoor Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West will take on rival Tree of Life Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eastmoor Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Briggs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
