Basketball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Caldwell entered their contest against Skyview on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Caldwell Cougars had to suffer through a 72-44 loss at the hands of the Skyview Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Hawks are ranked 29th).

Caldwell's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Skyview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Caldwell will face off against Vallivue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Skyview, they will host Bishop Kelly at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Skyview has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three matches.
