Baseball Recap: Homestead Comes Up Short

Homestead saw some tournament action on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Homestead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sheldon Heffelmire, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Avon, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homestead will host Adams Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Avon, they will welcome Terre Haute South Vigo at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
