Baseball Game Preview: West Creek Coyote vs. Rossview Hawks

West Creek is 0-10 against Rossview since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Coyote will head out on the road to challenge the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. West Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

West Creek is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to Dickson County.

West Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donte Castro, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Rossview entered their tilt with Station Camp on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Bison. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Rossview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-1-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for West Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

West Creek suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Rossview in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Coyote avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
