Basketball Recap: Omaha Westside Warriors vs. Bellevue East Chieftains
Omaha Westside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Bellevue East Chieftains 77-35. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 36 point advantage.
Omaha Westside was led to victory by Lee Robinson and London Dada. Robinson went 8 for 9 on his way to 18 points and three steals, while Dada went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emre Gedik, who posted six points and eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Bellevue East still got an impressive performance from Kris Brown, who put up 11 points and six rebounds. Ammi Williams was another key player, putting up seven points.
Omaha Westside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 76-56 victory against Lincoln East on the 12th.
