Basketball Recap: Spanaway Lake Starts off Right with Win over Mt. Rainier + How To Watch

Spanaway Lake had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Mt. Rainier Rams as they made off with a 54-28 win. For the Sentinels, this counts as revenge for the 44-33 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2015.

Leading Spanaway Lake to victory were Sa'Marianna Reece-Goodwin and Devasia Richardson. Reece-Goodwin posted 12 points, while Richardson had 12 points. Taniyah Tatum was another key player, putting up seven points.

Mt. Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Spanaway Lake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give the Sentinels their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Mt. Rainier, they will face off against Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will also be the Rams' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
