Volleyball Recap: Central Carolina Academy Eagles vs. Ascend Leadership Aviators

Central Carolina Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Ascend Leadership Aviators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aviators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Central Carolina Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ascend Leadership's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

Ascend Leadership found their leader in freshman Anneke Anderson, who had four aces and one assist. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Anderson.

Central Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Ascend Leadership, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
