Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Credo

After only one run in their last match, Credo made sure to put some runs up on the board against Middletown on Friday. Credo came out on top against Middletown by a score of 11-6. The Gryphon haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Thadeus Cole was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Credo's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Zach McKenna was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jude Pond, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-5.

Credo pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Middletown, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, Credo will welcome Roseland Collegiate Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Credo's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Middletown, they will head out to challenge St. Helena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Helena will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Middletown surely won't give up without a fight.
