Basketball Recap: Aviation Takes a Loss

Aviation lost against Newtown back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Aviation Flyers received a blow as they fell 64-47 to the Newtown Pioneers.

Aviation's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Newtown, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aviation will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Queens Complex at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th. Newtown will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Bayside at 4:00 p.m. on January 28th.
