Soccer Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee lost against Celina back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Shawnee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Celina are ranked 51st).

Shawnee has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-2 record this season. As for Celina, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season.

Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Celina, they will take on Ontario in a tournament on Saturday. Celina's defense better be ready for this one: Ontario have averaged an impressive 5.8 goals per game this season.
