Basketball Recap: Lilly Hoffman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Udall over Central

Udall was the 46-23 winner over Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Udall Eagles took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Raiders.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lilly Hoffman, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. Hoffman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Kayl Knapp was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Udall's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Udall will host Belle Plaine at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central has already played their next game (against West Elk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
