Baseball Recap: Gadsden Takes a Loss

Gadsden had lost nine straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 7-18 to make it ten. They fell just short of the Alamogordo Tigers by a score of 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly two runs.

As for Alamogordo, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-17. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly two runs.

For Alamogordo's part, Kade Kiss was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaden Ruiz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Alamogordo beat Gadsden by a score of 6-3 later that day.
