Basketball Recap: Granite Falls Comes Up Short

Granite Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the University Prep Pumas. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pumas earlier this season, when they won 59-35.

Granite Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for University Prep, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-9.

Granite Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Whidbey at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
