Volleyball Recap: Tuslaw Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Tuslaw's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Poland Seminary Bulldogs.

Tuslaw had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tuslaw to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Knouse, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Knouse has posted since back in September. Kasey Conrad also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Tuslaw was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Poland Seminary's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenna Saville, who had eight digs and two aces. Saville has been hot, having also posted 14 or more assists the last five times she's played. Avery Jakubovic was another key player, getting 16 digs and one assist.

Tuslaw's win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-16. As for Poland Seminary, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Tuslaw didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lake Catholic on the 21st. Poland Seminary does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
