Volleyball Recap: Grand Island Falls to Lincoln East in First Game of Season

Grand Island kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Lincoln East Spartans, falling 3-0. The Islanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grand Island is set to square off against their familiar foe Norfolk on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln East will face off against rival Marian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
