Baseball Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss

Lakeview came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-3 to the Kent City Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Lakeview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Peasley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Lakeview has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Kent City, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

While Lakeview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
