Softball Recap: Glacier Wolfpack vs. Capital Bruins

After flying high against Helena in their first game on Saturday, Glacier came back down to earth. The Glacier Wolfpack took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Capital Bruins in their second game on Saturday. Glacier was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Capital apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Emma Cooke made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Karley Allen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

On Capital's side, Kathryn Emmert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Emmert was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anna Cockhill, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Cockhill is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
