Volleyball Recap: Thayer Academy Takes a Loss

Thayer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-10.

Naraya Dasilva paced Thayer Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Dasilva got some help from Caroline Snyder and her seven assists. Dasilva was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Thayer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Thayer Academy will face off against rival Newton Country Day of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Buckingham Browne & Nichols is set to take on their familiar foe King at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
