Basketball Recap: Potts Camp Falls Despite Big Games from Akira Woods and Mariah Jeffries + How To Watch

Potts Camp lost against Myrtle back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Potts Camp's loss came despite strong showings from Mariah Jeffries and Akira Woods. Jeffries dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 boards, while Woods dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 45.2% of the Cardinals' points, marking the fifth time in a row Jeffries has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Clifton, who put up 12 points and five rebounds.

Potts Camp's record is now 1-7. As for Myrtle, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Potts Camp will welcome Mantachie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Myrtle, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hickory Flat at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
