Volleyball Recap: J.H. Rose Takes Down Union Pines in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, J.H. Rose rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Union Pines Vikings. The win was nothing new for the Rampants as they're now sitting on three straight.

While J.H. Rose won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-21.

Kate Wallen paced J.H. Rose's offense, picking up 14 kills. Wallen got some help from Breanna Joyner and her 15 assists. Caroline Bayes and Mia Kendrick kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

J.H. Rose's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Union Pines, with the defeat, they broke their nine-match winning streak and moved their record to 24-3.

J.H. Rose didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Gray's Creek on the 28th. Union Pines does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
