Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Maconaquah walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Western Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Maconaquah can attribute much of their success to Averie Maiben, who had 15 assists and 12 digs. That's the most assists Maiben has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Western had strong showings from Brynley Erb, who had 14 digs and one assist, and Rylynn Gibbs, who had six digs and two aces.

Maconaquah's record is now 24-8. As for Western, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-15.

Maconaquah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against West Lafayette on the 18th. Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
