Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Caden Klooster and Charlie Dennis Lead Grand Traverse Academy to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Traverse City Christian, Grand Traverse Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over the Forest Area Warriors. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 51-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Grand Traverse Academy was led to victory by Charlie Dennis and Caden Klooster. Dennis went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points in addition to six boards and four steals, while Klooster went 8 for 11 on his way to 22 points. The dominant performance also gave Dennis a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Coby Bilderback, who posted eight points and three steals.

Grand Traverse Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Forest Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
