Football Recap: Norwayne Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Norwayne and Liberty-Benton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Norwayne had to settle for second. They were dealt a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. That makes it the first time this season the Bobcats have let down their home crowd.

Jacob Bruner threw for 130 yards on 11 of 24 attempts. Ryder Ingold was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards.

Norwayne's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Liberty-Benton, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Norwayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty-Benton, they will challenge Liberty Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
