Basketball Recap: Elmore County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Elmore County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wetumpka Indians, falling 73-50. The Panthers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Kaleb Ballard, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 17 rebounds for Wetumpka. Thanks to that strong game, Ballard now owns an excellent 61.1% shooting accuracy. Chris Robinson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists.

Elmore County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wetumpka, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elmore County and Thorsby will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Wetumpka, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Brewbaker Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
