Football Game Preview: Chaparral Wolverines vs. Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans

Chaparral is 0-6 against Fountain-Fort Carson since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Wolverines will venture away from home to face off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Chaparral has given up an average of 41.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chaparral came up short against Pine Creek on Friday, falling 50-25. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Eagles are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Fountain-Fort Carson played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Legend and fell 56-13. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Although Fountain-Fort Carson took the loss, they still got scores from Da'Quan Burton and Da'Kari Releford Jr.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Chaparral took a serious blow against Fountain-Fort Carson when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 48-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolverines were down 24-0.
