Tarpon Springs extends home losing streak to nine

This season hasn't been kind to the Tarpon Springs Spongers, who are still winless after their fifth game. They suffered a rough 41-20 loss at the hands of Anclote on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tarpon Springs in their matchups with Anclote: they've now lost five in a row.

Tarpon Springs got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Jayla Beausil and Laila Maciorski, who each put up four points.

Tarpon Springs bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Anclote, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Tarpon Springs will head out on the road to face off against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anclote, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sunlake at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
