Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern was the 7-1 winner over Cherokee when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Chiefs on Monday, falling 15-5.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Cherokee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern will face off against Shawnee at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Renegades' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cherokee, they will head out on the road to challenge Northern Burlington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
