Baseball Recap: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Pickett County Bobcats

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Clay County brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Pickett County Bobcats 11-1 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Nolan Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Clay County is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-12 otherwise. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since April 7th.
