There's no place like home for St. Joseph, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Mattawan Wildcats 39-37. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 24-7 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

St. Joseph found their leader in sophomore Ish Dixon, who rushed for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

St. Joseph now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mattawan, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will head out to challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mattawan, they will venture away from home to take on Kalamazoo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
