Caiden Everette had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 92 yards on only 12 carries, while also catching one score. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass. Another rusher making a difference was Antonio Draughn, Jr, who rushed for 54 yards and one TD.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Tarboro's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Tyler Powell was the leader with two. Jhalen Pharr-McNair got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Murphy's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Starmount by a score of 14-2.
Murphy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dalton Farmer, Grayson Hall, and Ryan Payne picked up one apiece.
Tarboro's record now sits at 14-0. As for Murphy, their record is now 12-2.
