Football Game Preview: Montville Mustangs vs. West Milford Highlanders + How To Watch

The Montville Mustangs will square off against the West Milford Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Morris Hills with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-22. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

A big part of Montville's victory came down to the chemistry between Jackson Gering and his top target Brett Kunkel. Gering threw for 122 yards and a pair of TDs while Kunkel picked up 63 receiving yards and two scores.

Meanwhile, West Milford didn't have too much trouble with Vernon on Friday as they won 20-6.

Montville's record is now 5-3. As for West Milford, their record now sits at 8-1.

Everything came up roses for Montville against West Milford when the teams last played back in September of 2019, as the team secured a 31-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
