Volleyball Recap: Summer Creek Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Summer Creek extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Makayla Smith. Everything went the Bulldogs' way against the King Panthers on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 win thanks in part to Smith, who had 11 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Summer Creek walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.

Summer Creek's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for King, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.

Summer Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Goose Creek Memorial on the 14th. As for King, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Humble on the 14th.
