Breck came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Providence Academy Lions by a score of 3-1. Given Breck's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Providence Academy are ranked 75th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Breck's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-3. As for Providence Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10-1.
