Liberty is 9-1 against Heritage since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Liberty Lions will take on the Heritage Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Liberty knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matchups -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge.

Liberty is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 115-38 win over Deer Valley. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Heritage posted their closest win since December 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Antioch 63-60. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Panthers are ranked 612th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.9 points over those games. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Liberty beat Heritage 69-56 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
