Kimberly typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Filer proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a set and slipped past the Bulldogs 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Filer was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-97), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 10-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Brekk Bowman paced Filer's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bowman got some help from Ruthie Bullock and her 24 assists.

Filer is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season. As for Kimberly, their defeat ended a 19-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Filer by a score of 3-0 later that day.
