Softball Recap: Rosholt Comes Up Short

Rosholt lost to Pittsville back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets lost 15-3 to the Panthers. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ruby Calhoun was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Rosholt's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Pittsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosholt will head out to square off against Berlin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pittsville, they will venture away from home to challenge Nekoosa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Papermakers have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
