Hanford waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Kennewick Lions 17-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 on Friday.
Neve Jimenez was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Haylee Velasco was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-6.
Hanford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .407 or higher in five consecutive games.
Hanford's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games.
