Football Recap: East Columbus Comes Up Short

East Columbus lost against West Columbus back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gators fell 30-18 to the Vikings.

When it comes to explaining why East Columbus lost, don't look at Dawson Crosby. Despite the final result, he rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Crosby also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making five total tackles.

DJ Graham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for West Columbus, throwing for 136 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 43 yards.

East Columbus has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. West Columbus' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5.

East Columbus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-6 defeat against East Bladen on the 10th. As for West Columbus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 49-14 loss against North Duplin on the 10th.
