Football Recap: Tarkington Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Tarkington extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They took a blow against the Silsbee Tigers, falling 63-6. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1021st, while the Tigers are ranked 172nd).

As for Silsbee, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. That looming 63-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Silsbee was led to victory by Jacaleb Johnson and Corde Wilson. Johnson threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing, while Wilson rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores. Those three passing touchdowns gave Johnson a new career-high.
