Baseball Game Preview: Nicholas County Bluejackets vs. Mason County Royals

The Nicholas County Bluejackets will square off against the Mason County Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Nicholas County got the win against Bath County by a conclusive 18-4. Considering the Bluejackets have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nicholas County got a massive performance out of Jackson Zimmerman, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Zimmerman is becoming a predictor of the Bluejackets' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 12-15 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Bentley Crump, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Nicholas County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bath County only posted an OBP of .304.
