Football Recap: Adler Case's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Forest Grove over Hillsboro + How To Watch

Forest Grove lost against Hillsboro back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings came up short against the Spartans, falling 55-30. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adler Case, who threw for 277 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Asher Case was another key pass catcher, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Forest Grove and nudges their season record down to 4-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-3 Canby (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 66.1% over those games). As for Hillsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Forest Grove will welcome North Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Grove will be up against North Salem's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hillsboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Canby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
